Plus or Regular Vetericyn?
When deciding between Vetericyn products you have several options. The only drawback that I personally had with the original Vetericyn was that I could never use the entire bottle before it expired. This drawback has been remedied with Plus. The shelf life is about twice as long, so you won’t have to worry about wasted product.
Secondly, Plus is three times as concentrated meaning that you are getting more bang for your buck and more thorough wound cleansing.
If you are needing a topical for eye or ear irritations try the ophthalmic or ear rinse instead.
What we like about Vetericyn Plus:
Vetericyn wound infection care is top of the line, and the potency cannot be beat. It is also extremely safe, especially compared to other wound care products that you have to be careful about getting on yourself.
It also comes in liquid and gel form. Both contain the same amount of active ingredient, so you can choose the version that will work best for you. You do not have to be leery about your horse reacting to Vetericyn. Horses should feel no burning or painful sensations; just relief as the bacteria are cleared and the wound begins to heal.
Vetericyn reviews are almost positive and you can also find reviews from veterinarians like the one in the video above. It is trusted and has proven it’s worth in the equine industry.
What we don’t like about it:
Unfortunately, Vetericyn is more expensive than many wound care products on the market, however Plus has effectively lengthened shelf life meaning that most horse owners can use the same bottle for up to two years. If your looking long term it really isn’t too pricey after all.
